Big Game Popcorn Bar | Garlic Herb Popcorn Seasoning & Cheesy Taco Popcorn Seasoning Recipes

I don't pretend to be a football fan, but I just so happened to marry a man who lived and breathed football for the first decade of our marriage. Now I'm a mom of boys who love the game just as much as their dad.

While I never learned to go bananas for game day, I did fall in love with creating themed meals for my family while they watch the games.

There was a big college game this weekend so I made concession style food to serve during game time. I chose hot dogs, pizza poppers and flavored popcorn using Orville Redenbacher® because these are things they'd find at the ballpark and they're all easy to make.

I'll show you how I created a super simple popcorn bar style concession stand over the weekend.

Back to School Party | How to Plan and Decorate

I'm still experiencing the Back to School excitement from from the start of the school year. To help nurture the excitement, I planned this back to school breakfast.

It's a good time of year to celebrate our children's accomplishments and encourage them to do well during the winter quarter.

    The Theme

The goal of my party is to encourage families to prepare for a healthy school year and continue being their children's biggest cheerleader.

Today I'll show you how I planned my party and created fun goodie bags. These goodie bags will help families prepare and guard against illness this school year.
I will show you my go-to products, and how I created the goodie bags with them.

The inspiration for my party comes from a morning brunch our school hosts for teachers and parents the first week of school. The idea is to help parents prepare for the back to school routine. I spun that idea into a party of my own that will help families prepare for the cold a flu season. It's almost impossible to keep our kids from getting sick when they are around so many people, but we can be ready when they start feeling under the weather.

    Decor

For my party decor, I used school supplies a teacher would typically use in his or her classroom. For the table linen, I used craft paper stamped with fun messages you'd see a teacher use on a graded paper.

To give the table center pieces a school theme, I covered my son's text books with construction paper and hand wrote the subjects on the spine. The thickness of the books gave me the height I needed for the center piece. To add even more of a school feel, I placed school supplies like netbooks, pencils, and erasers on the table. The final touch was the bookworm die cut border.

    The Food

The theme of my party has two parts: health and encouragement this school year and that came through in my menu choices.

My party menu incorporates healthy, vitamin packed snacks with encouraging messages to motivate children. The goal of the menu is to reinforce our desire for them to choose foods at school that will boost their immune system, help them fight off illness, and do well.

To make the snacks fun I added encouraging messages. This is not only a great idea for this party, but for lunch boxes as well.

    Fun Fruit Notes

To create fun fruit messages on the bananas and oranges, I used a black marker and drew directly on the skin. After drawing faces on the bananas, I secured a folded napkin to it with a piece of tape.

    Happy Apple Leaves

Using a sheet of green construction paper I cut out leaf shapes for the apples. I used them to write a short message for the kids which I attached to the stem using tape.

Along with the fresh fruit at the party table, I served, smoothies and parfaits.

For Christmas my husband took me up to the Biltmore House in Asheville North Carolina where we toured the property early in the day and attended a wine tasting that night. It was one of the most romantic dates, and I was able to learn a a lot about wines and how to pair them. While I'm still no expert, I did learn a few things I'd incorporate at a get-together.

For a summer get-together I'd choose affordable and flavorful wine like Sutter Home
Their Moscato and NEW Moscato Blends are perfect choices and are available in Moscato/Riesling, Blend, Moscato/Chardonnay, Blend Moscato, Pink Moscato, and Red Moscato. With so many varieties, you'll always have something for everyone.

I ended putting together a basketball tournament themed party we can use over the next couple of months as we track our brackets. I want each game day to be fuss free so I went with a fuss free taco salad bar, easy decor and simple printables.

The winter holidays are my favorite time of the year. Between spending time with family, shopping for gifts an decorating, I get to indulge in my favorite past times.

When my husband and I first married, I loved spending the night as his dad and step-moms house. They live almost two hours from us and some nights we'd head there after Germaine got off work. We'd get there after they'd gone to bed and find the light on in the guest room, fresh linen and a fully stocked guest bath for us to use.

I loved being their guest and daughter-in-law. As I began to build my home, I mimicked some of the  hospitality traits I learned from my mother-in-law and I'm going to share them with you today.
With three children still at home and a home office, we don't have a dedicated room for guest, but we do make guest feel comfortable when they come sleep on our couch or air mattress.

We prepare the space using the following six tips as a guideline.

I was born and raised in New York City, and moved to the Carolina's as an adult where I met my amazingly handsome husband.

While I often miss the glitz and glam of New York, there are some things about the Carolina's that just can't compare.

Every day from about October through January, I can step out my backdoor and enjoy some of the most amazing Fall scenery money can buy.

I love taking advantage of the seasonal changes in my backyard. This summer I brought in sand, laid out beach towels and set up a pool for beachy family stay cation. Now that the weather is cooling, I'm turning it into a glamping date-night getaway.

My backyard provides an unbeatable glamping spot. Let me show you how I transformed it into a date night getaway.

Having friends over for a party especially when each family has four or more kids, can get crazy, but not if you plan ahead.

This weekend we had an epic basketball themed party with some friends. It was really stress free and laid back.

I started planning on Monday by picking up everything I needed for the food. I made baked ziti for the main course.

For appetizers, I bought Delimex taquitos, and tacos using this $1 off on any TWO (2) Delimex® Frozen Taquito products (Excluding Fruit Taquito Products) coupon at Walmart. The coupon is available for print through April 7th and expires May 4th.

What do you do when you love entertaining on a budget, and don't have a lot of time?

What I do is combine a little bit of homemade food with a little bit of store bought items, and throw in something fun for the kids.

Today I'll show you how I pulled together a recent get together with friends just in time for the Spring season and Easter Holiday.

      Here's a sneak peek!

Any time I have friends over and set up our party table I start with things from around the house.

That is going to be the cheapest way to plan your party. For this party I wanted to have a mini Easter themed candy bar, but did want to buy a bunch of jars, so what I did was make them.
