Oil-Free Granny Smith Applesauce Vinaigrette

I have a yummy recipe for you today using Mott’s® Applesauce. My shopping trip and this recipe has been compensated. All opinions are mine alone. Every day I try to make good food choices so I can feel and look amazing. When planning my weekly menu, salads play a big part. Salad topped with diced chicken, avocado or fruit are a simple, stress-free option as long as I’m careful about the salad dressing I use.   I don’t like salad without dressing, but most of the dressings I like are oil based and high in sugar. Too much oil, even good oils like coconut and olive, can be detrimental to my fitness goals.   Instead of relying on store-bought dressings, I often make my own [Click here to continue reading]

How to Plan Ahead for a Busy Week

Today’s tips to make busy weeks bearable is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kellogg’s Special K. Does anyone besides me sacrifice their own well being to make sure everything gets done? That’s something I have to fight against and I know I’m not alone. Do you ever have a busy week and skip the very things that fortify you just to get everything crossed off of your to-do list? All it does is fill an immediate craving and in the end sabotages us.  And we don’t want that right? One of the ways to ensure you’re eating a mix of healthy [Click here to continue reading]

Cheesy Taco Popcorn

I love snacking but can’t snack on super sweet foods like I used to. Between getting older and not wanting to destroy all the work I do in the gym, I prefer lighter snacks. If you would have seen this week’s menu the snack section was filled with popcorn. I took a break from smoothies and decided to try making some flavored popcorn.  Cheesy Taco Makes: 3oz.    Prep time:10 minutes *store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. 6 tablespoons of taco seasoning (recipe here) 6 teaspoons parmesan cheese To add the seasoning, I popped my popcorn as I normally would and immediately sprinkled the Cheesy Taco seasoning into the bag. I shook it and added more until it was well coated.  These were [Click here to continue reading]
